Scallops and mussels and Culebra - ain't so secret anymore

Last night on the way home from work, Lorraine and I stopped by the market to pick up some of Stonington's finest...scallops (and some mussels too - can't believe I'm writing that parenthetically!). They are called Stonington scallops even if some of them come from right over the state line in Rhode Island. And I mean literally over the line.
