Pope St. Pius X (Latin: Pius PP. X) (June,1835– August 1914), born Giuseppe Melchiorre Sarto, was the 257thPope of the Roman Catholic Church, serving from 1903 to 1914. He was the first pope since Pope Pius V (1566–72) to be canonized.
Pius X beatified ten individuals and canonised four.Several that are known to me are John Bosco (beatified) , Joan of Arc (beatified) Gerard Mejalla (canonised) Pius the tenth was in favour of frequent confession and communion. Being of humble origin he often said" I was born poor, I have lived poor, and I wish to die poor." He was a great man with every right to be honoured. Saint Pius the tenth pray for us!
