Wedding of Zara Phillips

Royal historian Hugo Vickers says it will be more "sporting celebrity occasion" than a royal wedding.





 "I wouldn't say [Tindall] is marrying into the royal family, rather she is marrying out of the royal family."




According to BBC, the couple will travel from their ceremony to the reception in horse-drawn carriages.


 James Sleater, of Cad & Dandy tailors in London, said Phillips “wears the trousers” in the relationship and has been hands-on in selecting the wardrobe for the big day.

"Behind every man, there is a story of a powerful woman," Sleater told The Telegraph. "Zara has been involved and helped select the clothes."

According to MSNBC, Philips is less involved in the royal family. Princess Anne, Phillip’s mother, said her daughter will not hold any official royal title.



"Zara Phillips is not technically a member of the royal family - she just happens to have a mother who is," Vickers said.

Phillips, a former world championship winning equestrian, will marry Mike Tindall, a professional rugby player for Gloucester rugby team in England. Although Phillips was born to the Queen’s only daughter, Princess Anne, her royal status has often been underplayed.

Hugo Vickers, a royal historian, said the upcoming nuptials will not be like the royal wedding that countless viewers worldwide tuned in to watch her cousin Prince William take part in.

"The whole set-up is much more informal, it's very much a family thing," Vickers told BBC News.

"I wouldn't say [Tindall] is marrying into the royal family, rather she is marrying out of the royal family."

The wedding will take place in Scotland’s Edinburgh church, followed with a reception in Holyroodhouse, the official residence of the Scottish monarch.

According to BBC, the couple will travel from their ceremony to the reception in horse-drawn carriages.

Phillips, 30, and Tindall, 32, have been dating for seven years after an introduction by Prince Harry, according to MSNBC. Although many of the wedding details have been made private, The Telegraph reported that Phillips has been heavily involved in the process.

Zara Anne Elizabeth Phillips, MBE (born 15 May 1981) is the second child and only daughter of Princess Anne, Princess Royal and her first husband, Captain Mark Phillips. She is the eldest granddaughter of Queen Elizabeth II and Prince Philip, Duke of Edinburgh. At the time of her birth she was sixth in line to succeed her grandmother the Queen. As of the birth of her niece Savannah Phillips in 2010, she is 13th in the line of succession to the thrones of 16 independent countries.
An equestrian, Phillips is the former Eventing World Champion who won the World Championship in Aachen and was voted 2006 BBC Sports Personality of the Year that year by the British viewing public (an award her mother won in 1971). At the request of their mother, the children of the Princess Royal do not hold any royal title, nor are they entitled to one by right of birth, as they are the grandchildren of a monarch in the female line.

During her time at school, she excelled at many sporting activities and represented her schools in hockey, athletics and gymnastics. She later qualified as a physiotherapist specialising in Equine Physiotherapy from the University of Exeter. She was listed among CEOWORLD magazine's Hottest Royal Women.

Invest 91 Sunday check up

Ocean Balm

Yesterday I learned about the passing of a good man from Culebra, swift and shocking and sad, because men like him are rare, and though it was his time, it was not our time and he will be greatly missed by a wide spectrum of people, from family to friends to acquaintances, to whom he always had an outstretched helping hand. One of his big loves was his horses, and it was while working with them
