I'm off to San Juan (or I'm still asleep or I'm in San Juan, or maybe I'm back from San Juan, depending on your reading habits) to hang out with my friend Lorraine before she goes back to cold country. I am hoping.........To try to not get depressed about any thing this week.  Today I just felt really icky and depressed. And I'm not sure exactly  why. Trying to work it out though so when the situation arises I can remember to not be depressed.
I am planning.......... To have a good school week.
I am wearing............  Red Brizngr t-shirt , purple/kind/mauve/ with/ bits/ of/colour / in / it/  jumper (sweater) , faded black jeans with a hole in the knee , black boots and  silver hoop earrings, silver bangle, silver signet ring, and adjustable bracelet .
Around the house..........  Not much.
My wish of the week ......... that I remember to play "The Glad Game."  I intend to try this diligently this week.

Day  26 :  A childhood memory

Okay I am a child. At least until July.   Um,............... thinking......... thinking.........Got one!

 Alright I was 6 we lived kinda near the beach. It was just a short drive away .   I think, I was only small. Anyway .  We went to the like the harbour to see....... Can you guess?   Whales!!!!!!!    I remember driving in the car watching them through the windows. And watching them move around and their tales poking through the water.

I was very excited to see real whales.   I think i had seen "Free Willy" or whatever its called its about whales anyway.   I can remember many other things but  this is a special memory for me.

I don't remember every part of it in great detail. I only remember being in the car and seeing the whales.
Day 27: A physical feature you love.

This will probably sound weird to you but my favourite physical feature would be eyes.  Yeah, I guess that sounds weird.    But eyes tell soooooo much about a person. you can see what they are feeling inside and kind  of see what they're like.  Does any one else love eyes?

Timing really is everything

Remember those beautiful orchids from this morning? Good thing I took a photo of them as they were eaten while I was gone...wahhhhhhh! They usually last days and days but I forgot (translate hoped, like a fool, that the iguanas wouldn't find them). Well, there are two more buds...and I've moved the plant. We shall see what we shall see, shan't we?

All right, I live on Culebra; I'm not really late. But I am out of enough time to do the wonderful presentation of Raquel's art justice. So I'm going to give you yard art for now (a total surprise to find these, they were hiding in plain sight, oh joy!) and come back later on with Raquel's. Free Range Friday...plus

Because Lucy and Lola leave soon, I asked them if they had one last Treat of the Day request. After some debate Lola came up with a Lemon Glazed Oatmeal Muffin suggestion that sounded workable to me. So early this morning, all ingredients ready for the leap from bed to baking, I got started. And everything went fine. Until I remembered I forgot (hush, Aaron!) to take photos of the process. So...

T. L. M. C. Day 25: A recipe.

         This is one of my favourite cakes.   My Mummy has made this all my life. It is     SCRUMPTIOUS!!!!!

Quick Easy Chocolate Fudge Cake~

1 packet of chocolate cake mix
1 packet of chocolate instant pudding mix
1 packet of chocolate drops
2 eggs
1 3/4 cups of milk

Combine all ingredients in a bowl and mix with a wooden spoon

Bake at 180 degrees until cake leaves the side of the pan

Serve on it's own or with cream and strawberries.
We usually double this recipe and use a mixture of white and milk chocolate drops.
It makes two or three  cakes.  But, who really cares so long as its a chocolate right?

I am really out of touch with time and dates this year. Partly because I spent so long in the states, partly because I sort of checked my brain at the gate when I got back. There seems to be not much of a respite of major events going on for such a laid back place and I'm not at my best with multitudinous situations calling for attention. As they seem to do these days. I had a VERY interesting storyline. He was very impressive when he fought.

And He has a great knife! The hilt screws off and inside he has some survival things inside .

T. L. M. C. Day 20 : A hobby of yours.

Alrighty this is easier then yesterdays was! I have many hobbies. I  sing, draw, write stories and do  many other things. But, I think the one I use the most often and easily is, my ability to make people laugh.
Yes "Weird" your saying. But I do. I'll often say something that makes my Mummy laugh or do something she thinks is funny. Sometimes I'm just being me and do or say something seriously that Mummy thinks is funny. I also do the same with my siblings .
I'll try to make my family laugh when they're feeling down some of them are so hard to get to laugh it can become a chore if I don't try properly.
I love to laugh and I love to make other people laugh.
 If everyone would make an effort to laugh each day I'm sure the world would be a better place and we would all be happier.

Friday sort of slipped away from me this week....why? Well one, I was having this amazing, delicious sleep and woke up with just time to get dressed and head to the cart before the morning wasn't morning anymore. T. L. M. C. Day 19 : A talent of yours

 Well, I'm talented at many things. I enjoy and love doing sooooooo many things. But, I think the one my family would agree is my best is cooking.
I've been helping my Mummy cooks since I could walk.   I remember making bread with her when I was tiny.   
When I was about 8 i started cooking without Mummy's help. 
Now at 17 I can honestly say I can cook . I often prepare dinner with My sisters and will make snacks for all of us and desserts.  
Sometimes I've made a horrifying mistake , like, to much salt or flipped out a cake to soon and it fell apart. 
But, I see these mistakes as good they teach me not to do it again.

Day 16 : A song that makes you laugh.
Um, this is hard. I don't know if i actually have one that makes me laugh. I find things amusing but they have to be hysterical to make me laugh or silly. Hmmmmmm? What song?
I think it would have to be " Ebay" by weird Al Yankovic. One I first heard it I thought it made me laugh, now because my siblings play it all the time it doesn't.

 Well, as you could no doubt see from "Day 8"  I greatly admire Father Felix.     but, I shall write about someone else I admire.  Now, the obvious choices would be Jesus, my parents and all those other type of ones. and while these are all people I greatly admire I am going to post on someone else.    But who?   Hmmmm?       
C. S. Lewis!    He wrote such wonderful books.  books , that speak to my heart. Books that teach me many things. i am currently reading "The Screwtape letters" for school.  They are most interesting. I wonder if Mummy would now allow me to read all his other books too?  He is such an inspiration to me. But, he is just one of many who inspire me in my day to day life.

Hmmmmmm, there are so many people in ones life who change it. I know if my Mum hadn't taught me to read I wouldn't be the same person, I know if I couldn't cook I wouldn't be the same person. But, my Mum taught me all these and more and for that I am grateful and thankful.

But, who else has changed my life? I think Father Felix, our assistant parish priest from Nigeria would be one of the people who has changed my life and also my outlook on life. Yes, I think I'll go with Fr. Felix.


Dear Father Felix,
I just want to say thank you for everything you've done for me. You've taught me many things without realising it. You've taught me to not look on the bad side of things but to have hope that everything is for a purpose God's purpose and if I start to feel like there is so much unfairness in my life I should remember what you say ,    " God is not fair. God is generous."

You've taught me to live by JOY . Living first for Jesus , then for others , and then for myself. And doing it JOYfully.      You've shown me that  Trust, Faith and Hope in Jesus should be my number one priority.    You 've shown me that even though you can be a stranger in a strange land, and the culture changes, people are still people.  They still need to be loved , respected and honoured.

Fr. Felix, I know when you left Nigeria for Tasmania you said you were scared and nervous.  But, through it all you had faith and you showed me that  as it says on The Princess Diaries  movies that

" Courage is not the absence of fear. but rather the judgment that something else is more important than fear."          You also smile all the time and in that way show others your happy no matter what, and I'm working on that.     

Father Felix  I thank God that you changed my life.  
And I thank God for sending you to Tasmania.

T. L. M. C. Day 7 Five things you couldn't possibly live without!

Okay,  this will be hard!

You didn't say material or immaterial things so I will do two groups . 
                            
                                               Material.
Number One :   My family, I love them all so much and  life would be empty without them all.
Number Two :  Music!  Life would be boring and dull without Music.
Number Three :  Writing implements. You know pencils, pens all those things.
Number Four :  Paper !  That means paper of all types, books, notepads, coloured paper , scrapbook paper etc.
Number Five : A good nights sleep.

                                    Immaterial.
#1.Peace.
#2.  Hope.
#3. Joy.
#4. God's love  and  that also means my relationship with God.
#5.  Awe.   At God's wonderful world He gave us , my family , everything !

From the kitchen..........Homemade bread for lunch!
I am creating .........knitting a scarf for somebody , who shall remain nameless .  And also knitting squares to be sewn together into a blanket.  And writing stories and other stuff.

I am hearing....... Siblings, the computer  buzzing, Yours Truly typing, flies buzzing.  why do we call them 'flies ' and not something more creative? Just wondering.
I am hoping.........To pick up some holds of mine that have finally arrived at the Library.
I am planning.......... To stick really well to my exercise routine.
I am wearing............  A mauvey-sort-of - lavender- with coloured bits on it jumper ( aka sweater), and my favorite multi coloured skirt, purple  t-shirt ,, brown cowgirl boots and  a red headscarf around my neck and customary jewellery .

Around the house..........We all miss my biggest brother Kynan who has gone away to College interstate.
My wish of the week .........That my Mummy doesn't get over tired at all.

Pre-game Super Bowl Sunday on Culebra 2011

I know, there's a football game today. A big one. And I'm quite proud of myself that I even know who is playing! I really don't know much at all about football, by choice and by upbringing. Or vice-versa. I think I watched my first Super Bowl at my sister's boyfriend's house in South Florida, when I was 15 or 16. And yes, there were televisions back then, really.

T. L. M. C. Day 6 A Moment You Wish You Could Relive.

 I really don't know what moment I would  really  want to relive .
So,  I  think I would like to relive  the moment I was told that I had a new Baby Sister/Brother.
But, I wouldn't know which of my siblings I would  like to be told had just arrived .  
I only know that those moment(s) are some of the happiest of my life. 
All the waiting for this new sibling was worth it, you hold them , cuddle them, tickle them and just LOVE them.  
I love the feeling of excitement as I go to meet a new sibling.
And  I love that  God loves me and my family so much that He has so far given me 9 little siblings and one on the way!
Yes, I would definitely like to relive one of these moments if I could.

Yesterday becomes Today...Again

So, that food thing...right! Yesterday sort of got away from me on that but, true to my stomach, I did follow yesterday's lead. Which was started by seeing Steve with this gorgeous BLT at Dinghy Dock. I was obviously drooling, because he offered me half of it, which was way over and beyond the boundaries of friendship and I declined. I knew he'd hate me later if I said yes. But the kitchen had

My First Day of The Love Month Challenge.

 Okay , my first day of  "The Challenge "  I am catching up on the days.  So, they are very short answers.

 Day 1: A favorite song.
Okay my favorite song  currently would have to be, " Party" by Demi Lovato. It puts me in a real good mood . plus I love singing along!

Day 2: A favorite movie.
My all time favorite movie would have to be The Princess Bride. I have been watching it all my life and my family and I can recite lines, quotes and everything from that movie.  plus, what girl doesn't like Wesley?

Day 3: A favorite book.
My favorite book ( not including the Bible :D ) today would have to be,  " Laddie " by Gene Stratton Porter.   it is funny, dramatic, sweet, family orientated and just plain good!!!!

Day 4: A favorite television program.
My favorite TV program would have to be, "The Road to Avonlea."  I'm an L. M. Montgomery nut, especially when it comes to movies or  TV shows I can quote. :D    We only have the first season on DVD as we don't have TV reception  and so only watch DVDs.

Day 5: A favorite quote.
My favorite quote, well the one I first thought of today is "How can one say there are to many children? That's like saying there are to many flowers" Mother Teresa.
